Which Dishwasher Should I Choose?
Whether you are spending $2000 or $200, here are some things to look out for when choosing a Dishwasher.
Size and Design
Most people choose built-in models, and place them under a kitchen worktop. The most common models are 24 inches however, you can get smaller models at 18 inches.
You can also buy portable dishwashers and if you are looking for a more very modern style, drawer dishwashers are becoming a popular feature of many kitchen redesigns.

An inefficient dishwasher could cost you a lot in water and electricity costs. Look for dishwashers that are Energy Star certified because these are more efficient. If you want a wider choice checkout the yellow Energyguide label to give you an estimate of yearly operating costs.
Stainless Steel Tubs – Pricier than plastic tubs but also more hard wearing, quieter and more energy efficient on drying cycles.
Self Cleaning Dishwashers If you don’t like cleaning out the filters to avoid unpleasant dishwasher odours try a self cleaning model which has automated cleaning functions. These are more likely to be available if you are moving up to a high end model.
